Sing, muse, of the passion of the pistol...
artwork and characters (c) R. Oman edit: What with the DD and all, I feel like I should put in a description that is more... well, descriptive. This piece was directly inspired by one my friend Allison did, here: [link] which was itself inspired by the Electric Six song "Future Boys". She posted the pic, linked me to the song, and I knew I was going to have to draw my own version. (You should all go check out Allison's art, she's great at drawing humans with ridiculous hairstyles.) You can listen to the song on Myspace: [link] And with that, the title of this piece suddenly makes much more sense. This was done in a combination of traditional and digital media. I spent so much time on both halves that I couldn't decide which category to put it in. Sketch and inking were done traditionally; all the colors and texture were added in PSP6. Daily DeviationGiven 2009-02-27Pendalin's Future Boys by ~zenithfoxie The hatching and ink work going on here creates a very visually interesting composition here. The areas in shadow lead my eyes throughout the image, and the character design is solid and believable. Fantastic work here! (Suggested by ~kamizuki and Featured by ^Katmomma) |

No lollipops, though, laser-shooting or otherwise. :c
